Top readers chips lunch 2017
On the 3rd of August the northern side of the Dudley campus library was transformed in to a dining hall to celebrate the reading efforts of our year 7 students. The top readers for the term were awarded with a hot chip lunch and fresh fruit to acknowledge their commitment to developing their reading skills.
The ability to read is learnt in early primary school, however, as life-long learners we continue to develop and improve on this skill through practice. The more we read the better our ability to recognise words and assimilate information. By exploring and experiencing our 8,000 plus fiction books our students are training their minds and better preparing themselves to succeed in their education and their future.
When did you last feed your mind with a good book?
