World Challenge Cross Country BBQ
On Thursday May 9th, students ran a sausage sizzle at the Dudley Campus School Cross-Country event. Students prepared in advance by sourcing sausages from Woolworths and donated bread from Woolworths, as well as spreading the word about the event.
One hundred and twenty four dollars profit was made on the day, with the money going towards our school community
project in Vietnam. Every cent made, no matter how small it seems, will go towards a worthy project in an impoverished community in Vietnam.
Hungry students had the following to say to Hannah Maynard our roving journalist on the day:
“I’m excited”, Lola
“It was pretty good”, Chloe
“I’m happy because I’m hungry”, Izzy
“Just like a Bunnings snag”, Tom Moody
The group would like to thank Darren Martin for helping to set up the BBQs, and to Woolworths for their donation of the bread. And to all of the students and staff of Dudley who supported this event. On Monday the 27th, the second group will the running a BBQ for the Inter-School Cross-Country at Dudley, and we hope that this larger event will bring in even more interest and patronage for this worthy cause.
