Last Friday, students from surrounding Primary Schools took part in Wonthaggi Secondary College’s annual Fantastic Racers event.
What Hogwarts flavour of wizardry is this?! The students of Wonthaggi Secondary College have suddenly transformed into characters from books and other works of fiction!
Our Year 11 Biology students take to the lab to take a closer look at the anatomy of frogs. Unlike the kind of scenes you see in movies, no one felt queasy and every had a great learning experience and a lot of fun.
Hot chips on a cold day certainly hit the mark for our Year 7 students who love reading. These students were our best recorded readers for year 7, in Semester 1 and were rewarded with a chip lunch.
Our Year 9 students were treated to a special visit by a very funny and clever author, Scot Gardner, on the last day of term 2.

On the 13th of July, students from Wonthaggi Secondary College took part in the Morwell Gun Club School Shoot. All of our students did a great job braving the freezing weather and had a great time.
Yesterday, we received an email sent all the way across the seas from Japan where students from Wonthaggi Secondary College have been having the time of their lives for the past two weeks.

The students of a year 10 Science class at our McBride Campus use utensils to simulate different types of bird beaks picking up food in a practical exercise.
Last Friday, the students of Wonthaggi Secondary College took part in our annual Cross Country Run. The entire school took part in the event that occured near the end of the school day, you can even see a few teachers test themselves against some of our students.
